Doilies Drawing #4

Image
The other day a visual designer for IDEA in Europe asked me over Instagram if my work is on their fabric. She confused my blue line pattern illustration work with another artist. I was naturally flattered, and realized it is close to being time I start submitting my work to not only IKEA, but other companies. I'll keep you posted. Meanwhile, here is a new doily drawing. Love, Cynthia ❤️ See my illustration work on my website at: www.cynthiamosser.com/illustrations #cynthiamosser #art #drawings #illustration #blueline #doily

Sarah Waters & Waters Photographs

Image
Sarah Waters, a photographic storyteller, depicts the lives of her subjects through fine art and commercial photography. As an artist living in the Pacific Northwest, she is sensitive to not only light, but the nuances of the human and equine spirit.  With Sarah's portrait work, she has an absolute gift for storytelling. When I saw my friend's  business-related photographs taken by Sarah, I could see my friend's personality absolutely shine through.  Sarah's careful approach to working with her clients makes a huge difference. Initially, Sarah interviews them, pays attention to their stories, and listens to their wishes, so the end result is a clear representation of not only their personality, but the idea behind their business. When it comes to horses, she has a love for carefully composing them photographically. She's has traveled abroad extensively, and her fine art portfolio beautifully reflects the horses within their environment. I particularly love the shots...

Fraternal Foliage (cinnabar)

Image
In 2008 I went crazy for oval compositions. I made at least six. Using unconventional format shapes is nothing new, it simply surprised me that they weren't as well received (read: sales) as I thought they would be. I still have many of these paintings in my inventory. Should you feel sorry for me? No way. Being an artist is a learning process. Can you still purchase one of my oval paintings? The answer is a definitive, "YES!" Love, Cynthia ❤️ Peruse a variety of my oval paintings at www.cynthiamosser.com/originals "Fraternal Foliage (cinnabar)" India ink pen, acrylic paint, encaustic medium oil paint on birch panel 14 x 22 in (sold)

In this piece, titled "Swim Puff (sprout)", spring is the theme. It's color when daffodils are shoot up, the yellow-green buds, and the lightness of it all. Painting "Swim Puff (lollipop)"

Image
My "Swim Puff" series, like this painting titled "Swim Puff (lollipop)," is all about a riot of color and biomorphic shapes. The feeling I desire to create is joy, fun and whimsy. Some say these pieces are psychedelic, which is great, because this is my version of being on drugs. Love, Cynthia ❤️ See this piece on my website at: www.tiny.cc/swim_puff_lollipop "Swim Puff (lollipop)" India ink pen, acrylic paint, encaustic medium, oil paint 18 x 28 $1700

Swirls, Curls & Eggs Illustration

Swirls and eggs are two of my favorite motifs. Swirls are simply fun to draw, and eggs are my favorite form, plus they represent potential and renewal. I can't help it, I love decorative elements.
