Poodle, 2019

Image
This piece was created while painting at a table overlooking the ocean in Depoe Bay, OR. I often say I can feel what is going on under the water, and having a front row seat definitely helped. Love, Cynthia ❤️ It's ready for your home: "Poodle," 2019 Gouache on Museum Board 11 x 8 in Visit this piece on my website at: www.tiny.cc/poodle_mosser

A Painting Inspired by Straznice, CZ

Image
In 2005, my Czech friends took me to this beautiful town in Southern Moravia called Straznice. I had never seen anything like it: They paint flowers on buildings, and have a yearly folk festival! The colors they most often use on buildings are red, green, blue and yellow. When I returned to the USA, I decided to make a painting called "Folk Twister", which represented the feeling of being in this town. My "PiP" Signature

Image
At the top of this drawing, you'll see two leaf-like forms. In every drawing or gouache painting, I add this as my signature. I call it a "pip". It started back in the early 2010's. What is your signature? Love, Cynthia ❤️ See if you can find more pips in my explosions series at:  https://w ww.cynthiamosser.com/explosions

Small Oval Painting Titled "Fraternal Foliage (amphibian)"

Image
Have you ever been at your kitchen table, drinking your coffee and thought, "Gosh, wouldn't it be great to have a smallish oval painting full of energetic, biomorphic shapes to keep me company?" You're not going to believe this, but I just so happen to have that VERY PAINTING ready for you! It's called "Fraternal Foliage (amphibian)", size 11 x 16 in, with a clear encaustic (beeswax) overlay. Check out your dream painting right here: http://tiny.cc/ff_amphibian_mosser #cynthiamosser #art #manifestart #biomorphicart #ovalpainting

An Early Biomorphic Painting

Image
Way back in 2003, I took a mixed media workshop at the Sitka Center. I have the desire to learn about encaustic wax (refined beeswax with damar resin) to create layers. I was working on my style at the time, and out came this. It's called "Orange Bioforms". Love, Cynthia ❤️ Although this piece doesn't exist anymore, there are many pieces on my website that do: www.cynthiamosser.com/originals

Biomorphic Wreath

Image
Circular forms represent eternity, as they have no beginning or end. This circular form is made up of biomorphic shapes from my mind, and these I could create ad infinitum. Love, Cynthia ❤️ See more illustrations at: cynthiamosser.com/illustrations
