This piece is titled: "Spring Puff", and was created using a layering technique starting with India ink pen, acrylic paint, encaustic medium (beeswax) and oil paint. My idea, in this piece, was to create a feeling of early spring, when the colors are quite light. I adore spring. Do you? Painting "Puff Paradise I"
Nature always provides the best color schemes. "Puff Paradise I" is inspired by the colors of a watermelon: Pink, green and red. Of course the shapes are oval (like a watermelon), but the rest is a playful composition of using biomorphic shapes and architectural swirls.
