UNDERwater Sculpture - Jason DECAIRES TAYLOR

Jason DECAIRES TAYLOR creates cement sculptures and submerges them to allow the effects of nature to modify, decorate and beautify their forms.

He grew up in Europe and Asia and spent his childhood in Malaysia. Later he became a scuba diving instructor, then received his degree in sculpture and ceramic from the London Institute of Arts in 1998.

What I love about his work is the unexpected outcome and the ambivalent nature of sea life which allows what was once smooth and clean to be improved by nature.
