This painting is my wish, as a personal reminder, for you to have fun. When I created this mixed media layered painting (pen, acrylic paint, beeswax, oil paint), I had a whimsical, floating biological space in mind with BLUE SKY as a background. What I find so rewarding about looking at this painting (called "Sugar Sky") is the doodling in the background. (See images below). In this piece, titled "Swim Puff (sprout)", spring is the theme. It's color when daffodils are shoot up, the yellow-green buds, and the lightness of it all. Green velvet couches are a great way to contrast red, as they are complementary colors (they enhance each other when they are near each other).
