This painting is my wish, as a personal reminder, for you to have fun. When I created this mixed media layered painting (pen, acrylic paint, beeswax, oil paint), I had a whimsical, floating biological space in mind with BLUE SKY as a background. What I find so rewarding about looking at this painting (called "Sugar Sky") is the doodling in the background. (See images below). I added faces and many of my eco-rococo shapes in the background to add a layer of joy.  Buy this painting here: "SUGAR SKY," 2011 Pen, acrylic paint, beeswax, oil paint on birch panel 48 x 48 in (121cm x 121cm) $5000 https://www.cynthiamosser.com/products/original_art_products/sugar-sky-original?product_gallery=17395&product_id=1342815 If you know of anyone who loves looking through a microscope, nature and fun, I would love to share my mission with them. Message me, and we can set up a short meeting. I will learn about your life, and share mine. #cynthiamosser #sugarskypainting #mixedmedia...

A friend of mine recently asked me what I stood for. I already knew the answer: I stand for BEAUTY -- how the BEAUTY in my art may help others experience joy and healing. This piece is the sixth in a series titled OVERLAPPING DOILIES. I adore doilies and what they do. They provide a beautiful foundation for an object, whether it be animate or inanimate. I love their feminine, decorative qualities. So here's my question for you: What do you stand for? Love, Cynthia ❤️ See my illustrations on my website, and if you could, I would love to know your thoughts on how they could be used commercially: www.cynthiamosser.com/illustrations

You never know what will happen when you put pen to paper. In this instance, I created the outline of this design, and started playing and experimenting. Love, Cynthia See more blue illustrations at: www.cynthiamosser.com/illustrations

Art and design is always a source of inspiration for me. Often, I'll see a shape, and it'll simply resonate with me. I find this shape exciting, so I repeated it in my favorite form -- a star-shaped flower. Love, Cynthia ❤️ Experience my own art and design at: www.cynthiamosser.com

On my weekly neighborhood walk, there is one willow tree, and my head just so happened to run into it (on purpose, of course). The leaves are long, twisting and flowing, which inspired me to create this drawing. Enjoy your day. Cynthia ❤️ See more of my art at: www.cynthiamosser.com

Incorporating tall, swaying grass, of different varieties, to my front yard is a kinetic installation to which I aspire. They'll be grouped in large dense clumps, so you will see only the grass moving in the wind. Now it's time to investigate varieties! What are your feelings about grass?   A couple of weeks ago I spent time in Newport, Oregon. Although I LOVE the beach, I also love hiking. In the middle of town there is this amazing 1-mile in and out hike with lush greenery and FERNS! Of course, I love ferns, and this is my ode to them. When I was a kid, my parents never feel I exercised enough. As an incentive, they made up their own jog-a-thon, and would pay me 25 cents every time I made a lap around our 1 acre yard. I did it, and don't remember how much money I made, but I never enjoyed it. Now I love exercising. Go figure. When I was seven, my friends and I thought it would be a great idea to jump off of a second floor balcony into the bushes below. I saw them jump and bounce right off, but when I tried it, it was more like a thud. I broke my lower leg bone, and my Dad had to take me to the emergency room. My parents had to also postpone their trip to Tahiti, but in the end, my leg healed and they went on their trip. Love, Cynthia ❤️ More illustrations abound at www.cynthiamosser.com/illustrations

I present to you an amazing amoeba mashup. This is a beautiful grouping of distinct biomorphic (abstract round) shapes that have no meaning This drawing is an exercise in fun, joy and intimate solitude. I can't get enough of this decorative paisley shape. I first encountered it in Hungary when I visited for an art residency in 2003. Somehow it's stuck in my memory. Love, Cynthia ❤️ See more art at:  https://w ww.cynthiamosser.com Hey! 20% off any print order! Use code: SAVE20

The other day I was looking at a Mexican-designed coffee mug I bought from Tubac, Arizona. This mug has this blue design all over it, which reminds me of a burrito succulent (sedum morganianum). I have no idea what this represents below. What should I title it? Love, Cynthia❤️ See more folk art-inspired illustrations at: www.cynthiamosser.com/illustrations

Decorated ovals seem to be my thing as of late. It's fun to see how I can make each one different, while making a coherent composition. I would love to make a printmaking plate for each doily, and printed them in various arrangements. I"ll keep you posted on this. Swirls and eggs are two of my favorite motifs. Swirls are simply fun to draw, and eggs are my favorite form, plus they represent potential and renewal. I can't help it, I love decorative elements. It's who I am, and I celebrate it. Love, Cynthia ❤️ See more decorative elements at: cynthiamosser.com/illustrations

Sometimes drawings just happen. In this case, it seems to be some sort of decorative biomorphic shape. Have a great day. Cynthia 🔴 See more biomorphic art at www.cynthiamosser.com
